Joe Savage, Managing Director
Joe Savage has more than 30 years of industry experience in management, consulting, venture capital and telecommunication networking. Joe has also served as CEO and on the Board of Directors for three startup companies. Joe holds an MSEE from Georgia Tech.

Jack C.D. Lee, Managing Director
Jack Lee has over 15 years of experience in developing and delivering leading edge telecom services and networking equipment. Jack has started both new divisions within existing corporations, as well as founded new start-ups. Jack holds an MBA from Carnegie-Mellon and an undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Washington.

Wayne Caswell, Executive Affiliate - Digital Broadband Home
Wayne Caswell is a home networking pioneer with extensive IT experience in development, systems engineering, marketing, and strategy. Mr. Caswell has practiced in the broadband, wireless, and home networking markets. Wayne’s resume of experience includes: market and competitive analysis, strategic planning, business development, and related tasks; and its clients range from startups to multinational corporations and industry associations.

Previous clients include: 3M, Parks Associates, Siemens ICM Cordless Products, and the IWPC (International Wireless Packaging Consortium). Wayne has served as the Communications Chairman of the HomeRF Working Group and helped converge voice, data, and entertainment networks into a single wireless specification.

Wayne also helped pioneer the Residential Gateway (RG) concept and promoted many emerging RG standards, including OSGi, ISO/IEC JTC1 SC25/WG1, and TIA TR-41.5.

John Celentano, Executive Affiliate
Mr. Celentano has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry. His background is a unique blend of telephone operating company and equipment manufacturing environments in a variety of engineering, marketing, sales and management positions. John has worked in systems engineering and management at Bell Canada, in product marketing at Nortel Networks, and in custom research and consulting at Northern Business Information/Gartner Group. Since 1990, John has consulted on public network infrastructure market.

Patrena Rice, Executive Affiliate
Patrena Rice is a nationally known lecturer and trainer. She has over 20 years of telecommunications management experience in various disciplines, including:

Patrena has held engineering and management positions with Telcordia Technologies (formerly Bellcore), National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA), and Verizon (formerly Bell Atlantic).

Kermit Ross, Executive Affiliate
Kermit L. Ross provides consulting services in marketing strategy, planning and product positioning to telecommunications companies, primarily domestic and international start-up companies. Mr. Ross was previously Vice President-Marketing of Taqua Systems. He also founded and was President of Teledata Communications Inc., the North American subsidiary of an Israeli company. Mr. Ross has over 39 years experience in the telecommunications industry, including sales, marketing and executive positions at Raychem, Raytheon, GN Netcom, Teltone and DSC. He began his career in 1965 at Indiana Bell Telephone Company. He holds a BS in Mathematics from Purdue University. He is a member of IEEE and the Executive Council of the International Engineering Consortium.

Marsha Spellman, Executive Affiliate
Marsha Spellman has over 20 years experience in government affairs and telecommunications regulation in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Marsha provides clients with usable and understandable analysis of regulatory issues, researching new issues at both the state and FCC. She has represented clients at various state Public Utility Commissions, monitoring and intervening in docketed state regulatory
proceedings. For new entrants, she has filed for state and federal
certification. She has written documentation for implementation of various state and FCC rules. In addition, Marsha works with communities to review cable franchise applications and other local jurisdictional issues. Previously, Marsha was the Telecommunications Specialist for the Oregon Cable Telecommunications Association and Assistant Regulatory Director for Cathey Hutton and Associates. She has also been a freelance writer for CableWorld and Multichannel News.

Matt Walker, Executive Affiliate - Emerging Asian Markets
Matt Walker has 10 years of global consulting and market research experience in telecom, with RHK Inc. and Exeter Associates, and energy background at both Exeter and Rochester Gas & Electric. Matt's telecom work includes analysis of regulatory, technical and financial trends in global telecom, after which he founded, and led for three years, RHK's Asian research operations. Matt has advised CLECs and government agencies on strategic and legal issues related to implementing the US 1996 Telecom Act, created telecom network cost models, and conducted electricity demand forecasts. Matt's current projects focus on: optical networking; service provider operating expenditures; content delivery networks; powerline communications; Ethernet-based services; and WiFi, WiMax, and other broadband wireless technologies (including 3G). His geographic focus is Emerging Asia, including China. Matt holds a M.S. in Economics (1995) and B.A. in Political Science (1994), both from the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY, USA).
